hyph-n.com
Browser support for hyphenation has grown significantly over the past few years. Major search engines have recently adjusted their search algorithms to recognize and index hyphenated text. But KINGdesk web design found no efficient means to hyphenate text for publishing on the web. Consequently, we have developed hyph-n.com and the wp-Hyphenate WordPress plugin to provide for this need.

the hyphenation algorithm
The hyphenation algorithm used by hyph-n.com is based on the 1983 Stanford Ph.D. thesis of professor Frank Liang: Word Hy-phen-a-tion by Com-puter. Liang's PatGen algorithm was updated in 1991 by Peter Breitenlohner. The resulting algorithm finds 90% of all allowed hyphenation points identified in the Webster's Unabridged Dictionary with a 0% error rate.
